Today when I dropped Dylan off at Preschool Ms. Heidi pulled me aside-
Ms. Heidi smiles as she says "Tia, I have to tell you what Dylan said..."
"Oh, okay," I worriedly reply, "Did he say something naughty?"
She laughs, "No, on Wednesday he told us you were having a baby!"
Stunned all I can manage is "ahhh..."
She continues on "We asked him a couple of times to make sure you were really having a baby, because we just weren't sure. Finally he just told us he really, really, really wants a new baby brother."
Regaining my composure I reply with a laugh, "Well it isn't really a secret we're trying...he's just such a character! "
"Oh, but that's not all," She laughs, "He told us you were trying 'but mama just can't have a baby' he said 'I told her to buy one at the store, but mama said it's just better if we make them in our tummy's!"
After that I really didn't know what to say. Which obviously is a rare moment for me! But let's just say Dylan is really, really wanting a brother. He also told the entire office staff at Brian's office.
Mickey "Dylan are you going to get a new fishy?" (Our first fishy committed suicide....yes, he jumped out of his bowl during the night!)
Dylan "No. We're not. I really want a puppy. But I'm not going to get a puppy...but that's okay because we're trying to have a baby!"
Needless to say the whole office, including patients had a good laugh.

At least you know how he feels Ü. I love (most of) the things that come out of kids' mouths. You can learn a lot.Ü Good luck!
Maybe Dylan knows something we don't - he probably has better connections for sure!!!!! We're rooting for you guys too! p.s. he can have Trigger if he wants for his dog!
That is so funny about what Dylan said. Kids are so honest! It was so good to catch up with you last night!
He is so cute! Hope you don't have any other secrets....this kid is a talker :) I miss you guys....you will be in my prayers!
Geeze Tia, give him a brother for pete's sake! It's not that hard to do! ;) Yeah, right. BTW, our fish died too - no suicide, murdered by Gracie. Very cute story.
welcome back to the blogging world :) how have you guys been? and I'm sorry your fish committed suicide. remember the goldfish from the dental carnival? ya, FOREVER ago? well, Emma had to write a sentence at school about our family pet and she wrote that we had a goldfish and came home crying b/c it was dead and she just remembered that.
Oh my goodness, he is getting so big. I can't wait till we can meet up with you guys again. Anna still asks about him and we love to visit the blog to look at his pictures!
I think that really is the funniest thing. Hope you guys are doing well! You need to email me your number so I can call you!
